Elevated Spaces
This project caters to the client’s lifestyle, emphasizing the need for efficient storage and functionality within a 3-room BTO flat. By dissecting hackable areas, the design creates distinct zones: Living, Study, and Master Bedroom, each thoughtfully crafted to maximize space and privacy.
The Living area seamlessly blends form and function, featuring a platform with varying heights that provide visual intrigue and substantial storage. An elevated coffee table, cleverly concealed within the platform, contributes to a cleaner aesthetic and adds square footage when stowed away. A built-in concrete table, in a refreshing departure from tradition, offers a space for the couple to enjoy breakfast while taking in the views of their home.
Beyond the partition wall lies the Study area, complete with ample storage and a distinctive circular window. This feature not only adds character but also opens up the space, creating an airy and inviting atmosphere for work or leisure.
A concealed door, elegantly clad in stainless steel, leads to the home's sole bedroom, reflecting a minimalist approach to keep the sleeping quarters uncluttered and serene. The stainless steel material is mirrored in the display shelf leading to the common bath, creating a unique showcase for the owners' collection. The overall design integrates warm wooden finishes, textured walls, and soft lighting to enhance the space with a balanced, moody, and cozy atmosphere that supports the clients' desire for slow living and efficient use of space.
